Story: Kirk and Spock are two beings with a rough childhood. One grows up to be a trouble maker the other a respectable member of Starfleet. They meet and can't stand one another. While marooned on an ice planet, Kirk runs into the Spock of an alternate reality. He informs Kirk that in his dimension, Kirk and Spock are the best of friends and lovers. Kirk is moved by this and decides to try and create a similar relationship with the Spock of his universe.
